Valarie Burgamy Mead

Valarie Burgamy Mead, 46, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 8th, 2020. She was born in Milledgeville and was the daughter of Tom Burgamy and the late Connie Bailey Burgamy. She was a resident of Burke County. She went to Edmund Burke Academy, graduating in 1992 as salutatorian. After graduation, she went to Georgia State College & University to pursue a degree in Biology followed with a second degree in Chemistry. She was a member of the American Hereford Association, the Midville Garden Club, and the treasurer of the Vidette United Methodist Church. Valarie worked at Star Choices in Macon for four years, where her caregiving nature excelled. Later becoming a stay at home mom, she decided that selling Juice Plus might be fun. Already a health enthusiast, she quickly became a top seller and devoted customer. Was an integral part of Mead Cattle and enjoyed a new venture at McGraw Furniture.She had a great love for gardening & flowers, known well by all as a complete ray of sunshine. A loving mother to four children, family was always Valarie's number one priority. She could always see the good in everything and truly graced the lives of everyone she met. She was a faithful Christian who read three devotionals every day, without a doubt, she is getting her devotionals in person today.

Valarie was preceded in death by her mother Connie Bailey Burgamy, her maternal grandparents, Jack and Lorrine Blount Bailey, her paternal grandparents, Luke and Betty Burgamy, her aunt, Bobbie Bailey Mobley, and her uncle, Mike Bailey. She is survived by her husband Tommy Mead; children, CW Walker IV, Katelyn Kennedy Walker, Jackson Bailey Walker, and Tommie Mead Jones (Skyler); father, Tom Burgamy (Wanda); brother, Luke Burgamy; uncles, Steve Bailey (Donna), and Larry Burgamy (Glenda), and niece Zadie Burgamy.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-8:00pm Friday, December 11 at the funeral home. Memorial Services will be held at Noon Saturday, December 12 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Boggs and Rev. Bruce Eaton officiating.

Remembrances may be made to Vidette United Methodist Church.
