Hephzibah, GA- Lewis A. Vann, Jr., 67, entered into rest Wednesday, September 17, 2014. He was born in Amory, MS and has lived in the Augusta area for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. Mr. Vann retired as an Electrical Inspector with the City of Augusta. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Judy Vann. He is survived by a son, Buddy Vann (Shannon) of Dearing; 3 grandchildren, Wyatt, Hensley, and Madison Vann; a brother, Kenny Vann; 2 half-sisters, Patricia Vann Gooding and Eljean Vann Dawkins; a half-brother, Danny Vann; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members. Visitation will be 5-7pm Saturday, September 20 at Hephzibah Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 3pm Sunday, September 21 at Hephzibah Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. David Shelton will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cure Search Children's Cancer Fund (www.curesearch.org).
