Elma Earline Tucker

Elma Earline Tucker, 91, entered into rest Saturday, December 2, 2023. She was born in Tusculum, GA to the late Eloise and Swatz Royal and has been a longtime resident of Burke County. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Earline loved traveling to the mountains and tried to do so many times throughout the year. She loved flowers, cooking for her family and loved being visited by her family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Brown Tucker, Sr.; two sons, Derrell Henry Tucker, Sr. and Winston Tucker; four brothers, Bill Royal, Gene Royal, Eugene Royal, and Pete Royal;and three sisters, Ann Sanders, Faye Saxon, and Glenda Newman.

She is survived by four children, Betty Blanchard (Eddie) of Aiken, Paul Brown Tucker, Jr. (Joy) of Waynesboro, Jasper “Jabo” Royal Tucker, Sr. of Hephzibah, and Jasper Royal Tucker Jr. of Hephzibah; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Wegmann of Port Wentworth, GA and Linda Cheeks of Stapleton, GA; a brother, Jimmy “Buddy” Royal (Mary Ellen) of Girard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, December 5 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 3:00pm Wednesday, December 6 in the funeral home chapel with Greg Coursey and Rev. Bill Kent officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Paul Brown Tucker III, Derrell Henry Tucker, Jr., Derrell Henry Tucker III, Dylan Douglas, Winston Douglas, and Barney Bragg.

Remembrances may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
