Zachary "Zac" Wayne Curtis

Zachary “Zac” Wayne Curtis, 43, of Augusta passed away in the early morning, Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at home in Waynesboro, after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born to the late Delores and Lester Curtis on February 25, 1981. Zac graduated from Screven County High School and attended college afterwards. He called many places from Maine to Sylvania home. He held a variety of jobs from being a benefits coordinator, to delivery driver, and even a card dealer at a casino. He didn’t like any of those jobs as much as his liked his last, helping do odd jobs and flipping houses with his friend, Mark Holliday. Zac loved to tinker and make the old new again. He always saw value in the things and people around him. He made the world a better place. He was the kind of friend everyone wants but few deserve. He was a kind soul, who made everyone laugh. He brought much happiness to his family and friends and will truly be missed by so many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Devon Curtis.

Survivors include his brother and his wife, Rob and Alisa Curtis and their daughter Carinn; a half-brother and his wife, Ralf and Susan Zachau and their daughter Savanna; his cousin and his wife, Dannie and Ashley Clinage and their children Dixie, Daphne, Dash and Duke; his caregivers and friends, Mark and Julie Holliday, Janet Perry, and Jennifer Horne; and his lifelong friends, Camille White, Issac Kelly, and Jordan Blaine.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 Friday, December 20 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Sirmons officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
