William Kenneth "Kenny" Mcclellan, Sr.
June 21, 1941 — November 5, 2014
Born June 21, 1941, he was the son of William (Bill) McClellan and Edna Walden McClellan.He and Rachel married December 22, 1962 and raised two beautiful children.Kenny was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren, second only to his love for his Savoir, Jesus Christ.Kenny retired from Augusta Newsprint in 2007 after 41 years of service.He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed boating with his family.Kenny made his family and friends a priority in his life, and he is truly missed.
A loving husband and father, Kenny leaves behind a devoted wife of 52 years, Rachel; son, Ken McClellan, Jr. and wife Teresa of Waynesboro, Georgia; daughter Wendy Lutes and husband Scott of Brunswick, Georgia; three grandchildren, Dallas McClellan, Haylee Greene, and Harrison McClellan; brother Dickey McClellan (Ruth), sisters Jean Bailey, Julie Choate-Bell, Sue Heath (Philip) and Becky Drake (Rod) and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on November 6, 2014 from 7-9pm.
Funeral services will be held November 7, 2014 at 3pm at First Baptist Church, Waynesboro with Rev. Harry Coursey and Rev. Al Wright officiating.Interment will follow in Burke Memorial Gardens. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Waynesboro or Edmund Burke Academy.
