William David "Bill" Ansley, 70, of Waynesboro went home to be with the Lord on Monday October 12, 2020. He was born on September 18, 1950 in Kissimmee, Florida, to the late Talmadge and Ouida Durrence Ansley. Bill loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all of his heart. He pastored the Wren's Church of the Nazarene for seven years and was a member of the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene. He was a very hardworking and industrious man, with a tremendous talent in woodworking. Bill was an employee of Temple Inland in Thomson for over 20 years. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bill will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by three brothers, Gene Ansley, Ray Ansley and Jimmy Ansley; and a sister, Debra Ansley.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Hazel Powers Wade Ansley of Waynesboro;three sons, Brad Ansley (Jennifer) of Thomson, Tab Ansley (Molly) of Thomson, and Will Wade (Olivia) of Waynesboro; a daughter, Cindy Cloud (Andy) of Martinez; seven grandchildren, Ethan Ansley, Carson Ansley, Mark Peel, Vince Peel, Brady Ansley, Elizabeth Henderson (Jarit), and Wyatt Wade; five great grandchildren, Krista Peel, Kylie Peel, Liam Peel, Charlie Henderson, and Willow Henderson; a sister-in-law, Libby Ansley; four nieces, Brooke Ogara, Holly Ansley, Robin Meehan, and Brooke Barnes; and lifelong best friend, Bruce Thompson.
Private services will be held.
