Walter Rabitsch, Jr., 74, peacefully entered into rest Monday, June 10, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Millen and has been a resident of Waynesboro for the past 28 years. He retired from the Department of Transportation as a project manager. Junior was a member of West Millen Baptist Church and Triple T & Cherokee Hunting Club. He was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Walter Rabitsch, Sr.; and a sister, Angie Rabitsch.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Morris Rabitsch; four children, Walter Bradley (Candace) Rabitsch of Millen, Olivia Walden Wade (Will) of Waynesboro, Kristal Walden Ramirez of Waynesboro, and Brennen Quick (Courtney) of Waynesboro; a sister, Libby Williams of Millen; eight grandchildren, Marla Ramirez, Beckam Ramirez, Trent Herring, Wyatt Wade, Madison Quick, Emersyn Quick, Bryer Clayton, and Kaylee Clayton; and numerous other family members.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday, June 12 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 3:00pm Thursday, June 13 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bruce Allen, Rev. Perry Hearn, and Rev. Ronnie Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Beckam Ramirez, Trent Herring, Wyatt Wade, Kenny Williams, Gene Wiggins, and Emory Rabitsch.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Department of Transportation employees and retirees.
Remembrances may be made to the West Millen Baptist Church Building Fund or Rosemont Baptist Church Vision Fund.
