Walter Moody Hammock, Sr., 78, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017. He was a native of Burke County and was a longtime resident of Augusta until 2015, when he moved back to Burke County. He was a former employee of Blanchard Equipment.

He is survived by a daughter, Ann Vickery of Girard; two sons, Johnny Hammock (Camilla) of Girard and Billy Hammock of Girard; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday, December 6 at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be 2:00pm Thursday, December 7 at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve Sirmons officiating.
