Waynesboro, GA - Theo Thomas Sowell, 70, entered into rest Saturday, November 6, 2010. Born in Jenkins County on November 26, 1939, he was a son of the late Alex Sowell and Cleo Sowell. He was in fellowship at Burkehaven Chapel for 21 years.

He is survived by his siblings, Velma Gay (James), Travis Sowell (Sandra), Vera Nell McGraw (Buford), Barbara Jean Hargroves (Raymond), and Raymond Sowell (Judy); and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, November 8, 2010 at the funeral home.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Burkehaven Chapel, 506 Church Street, Waynesboro, GA.Gary L. Morgan and James Gay will officiate.Interment will follow at Green Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, Perkins, GA. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Gay, Joshua Morgan, Jason McCorkle, Tommy McCorkle, Michael Hughes, Daryl McCorkle, Shane Ide, and Buford McGraw.
