Terry Dana Allen

Terry Dana Allen, 73, died July 3, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born February 15, 1951, in Augusta, Georgia to the late James D. and Mildred (Murray) Allen. Terry graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1969 and graduated from North Georgia College & State University in 1973. Following graduation from college, he served with the United States Army for 20 years, retiring as a Major. After his service, Terry spent 20 years working as a paralegal in the field of law. He married his sweetheart, Dayle, in 1974. They celebrated 50 years of marriage this past March. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, James Lloyd Allen and Tommy Jefferson Allen.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Dayle (Daugherty) Allen, are his daughters, Rachel Butz and her husband David and Amanda Allen; his son, Matthew Allen; two grandchildren, Sophie Butz and Wyatt Butz; and many nieces and nephews.

For all those who would like to participate in remembrance of Terry, a graveside service will be held at the Allen Family Cemetery in Hephzibah, Georgia at 10AM on July 19, 2024. A celebration of life event will be held on August 11, 2024, at the City of Greer Cannon Centre, 204 Cannon Street, Greer, SC 29651 from 2-4PM.

To all the people who were touched by Terry, we wanted to say thank you for loving him.
