Teresia Rabun Whisnant

Teresia Rabun Whisnant, 70, entered into rest Monday, January 13, 2024. She was born in Waynesboro to the late Elwood and Vera Rabun and has been a lifelong resident of Burke County. She liked to garden and loved flowers, hummingbirds, and animals. Family was important to Teresia and she loved all of them very much. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Whisnant; a grandson, Christopher Powell; and a sister, Sandra Bugg.

She is survived by two children, Rena Powell (David) of Waynesboro and Shawn Brown (Lisa) of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Michael Key, Dalton Jones, Dylan Jones, and Noah Jones; one great grandchild, Dominic Jones; three brothers, Hammond Rabun, Elwood Rabun, Jr., and Michael Rabun; a special friend, Teri Lee; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, January 16 at the funeral home.
