Teresa A Gaiser

Teresa A. Gaiser, 61, entered into rest Friday, July 28, 2023, at Burke Medical Center. Teresa was born January 12, 1962 to Hobby Overstreet and Lula Burke Overstreet. Teresa was a lifelong resident of Burke and Jenkins County. She was the Director of Jenkins County Recreation Department for many years before beginning work at the Screven County Health Department from where she retired after 15 years of service. Teresa was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Gaiser; brother, Rodney Overstreet; and father-in-law, Gerald Franklin Gaiser.

Surviving are daughters, Jessica Thompson (Clinton) and Alison Gaiser; son, Bradley Gaiser; three sisters, Julia Clarke (James), Geraldine Weldon, and Linda Bradley (Ronnie); three brothers, Hobby Overstreet Jr, Frank Overstreet and Danny Overstreet; numerous brother and sister in laws; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in the Chapel of DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
