Shirley Garvin Flakes
August 5, 1935 — April 29, 2021
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband LeRoy Flakes, her son Gregory Flakes, her grandson, Shelton Flakes and her sisters, Linda and Shelia Garvin.
Surviving are her sons, Roy Dean Flakes (Lena Royal) , Gary Flakes, Sr. (Wren), Randall K. Flakes (Doris), Ray Flakes (Kim), William Todd Flakes and her daughter, Julie Oliver (Ron) all of Waynesboro; her brothers, Terry Garvin and Ronnie Garvin both of Millen; her sister, Merlene Garvin of Millen; her grandchildren, Michelle Flakes, Gary Flakes, Jr. (Alycia), Randall K Flakes, Jr., Bryce Flakes, Broc Flakes, Gabrielle Flakes, William Todd Flakes, Jr., all of Waynesboro and Amanda Flakes Nutter (Mary) of Wisconsin; her great grandchildren Chase Flakes, Dylan Flakes, Millie Flakes, Tyler Flakes, all of Waynesboro and Shelby Flakes of Augusta.
Visitation will be Saturday May 1, 2021, from 6 – 8 PM at the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday May 2, 2021, at the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Matt Wigley officiating. Burial will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Coursey, Alphonso Williams, Clinton Bates, and Ashley Moore.
