Waynesboro, GA.- Sara Ann Kirby, 68, entered into rest Friday night, August 27, 2010 at her home. A native of Millen, she was born August 21, 1942 to the late Buck Barefield and Beulah McMillan Barefield Hillis. She worked at Samson's Manufacturing for 11 years, and was a member of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Leon Kirby; grandson, Mitchell Drew Oglesby; and three brothers, Sandy Hillis, James Barefield, and Roy Barefield.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jud Kirby, five children, Ronnie Kirby, of East Prairie, MO; Mary Oglesby (Mitchell), of Waynesboro; Sandra "Sissy" Reeves (Joe), of Sardis; William Franklin Kirby (Lisa), of Sikeston, MO; and Deborah Kirby (Wayne), of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, Ronnie Kirby, Jr., Elizabeth Kirby, Stephanie Kirby, James Oglesby, Christy Hobbs, Brandy Kirby, Christopher Schugard, and Krista Schugard; four great grandchildren; brother, Mack Hillis, of Sardis; and sister, Opal Munns, of Alexander.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

The funeral will be conducted on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 2pm at the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Christopher Schugard, James Oglesby, Johnathan Hobbs, T.J. Oglesby, Billy Sikes, and Donnie Sikes.
