Waynesboro, GA.- Sallie Mae Reddick Pye, 79, entered into rest Friday, June 5, 2009 at MCG. She was born November 1, 1929 in Sardis to the late George Washington Reddick and Lucy Mae Brinson Reddick. Ms. Pye was a lifelong resident of Burke County, and was a homemaker. Until her illness, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Waynesboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Marion Pye.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Edward Pye (Gayle), of Waynesboro; Richard Kenneth Pye, of Sardis; four brothers, Henry C. Reddick, Robert G. Reddick, Harvey Lee Reddick, and Hubert Reddick, all of Sardis; four grandsons, Kenneth Daniel Pye, of Kenmore, NY; Jonathan Charles Pye, Joshua Marion Pye, and David Alexander Pye, all of Waynesboro, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Monday, 6-8 pm, at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, at 11am at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Rev. Ken Nichols will be officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandson's, and Steven Reddick, and Jamie Hess. The family and pallbearers are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 am.
