Ruth Perry

Mrs. Ruth Rebecca Blackstone Perry, 89, entered into eternal rest on Monday November 11, 2024, at her residence. She was born on June 3, 1935, in Richmond County, Georgia, to the late Fred Sullivan and Viola Inglett Blackstone. Ruth was a simple lady with simple taste. She loved helping and taking care of other people. Ruth was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time in the kitchen. She also enjoyed watching old westerns. Ruth retired from Keller Industries after 30 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L. Gordon Perry; five brothers; and four sisters.

Ruth is survived by her sister, Hattie Moore of Waynesboro; several nieces and nephews; and her longtime friend, Bobbie Burke.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, November 13 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend James Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Burke Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Josh Blackstone, Jeremy Blackstone, Jeff Blackstone, Keith Blackstone, Joshua Blackstone, and Michael Murphy.

Remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice.
