Ruth Browning Ford, 99, of Pine Needle Road in Burke County passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at her home. She was born on April 8, 1914 in Durham, NC to the late Charles W. Browning and Emma Mae Wicker Browning. She moved to this area in 1984. Ruth was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Ford; and 2 sons, James M. Ford and Garland P. Ford.

She is survived by 2 children, Dorothy M. Glosson (Bennie) and Lewis W. Ford (Pat); 4 grandchildren, Bonnie M. Hong (Geno), Bennie Glosson II (Ildiko), Charles Glosson (Laura), and Paul Glosson; 10 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday, February 25 at DeLoach-McKerley Funeral Home.
