Russell A. Flakes

Russell A. Flakes, 72, entered into rest Monday, November 14, 2022. He was born in Millen to the late Josie and John A. Flakes and lifelong resident of Burke County. He was of the Baptist faith and was the owner operator of Flakes Auto and Trucks. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, two brothers, Arnold and Ellis Flakes; and a sister, Joan Bell.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Babb; four children, Russell Flakes, Jr. (Kelly) of Waynesboro, Jennifer Alexander (Clay) of Keysville; Jason Flakes (Alana) of Waynesboro, and Ashley Rodriguez (Danny) of Hephzibah; ten grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Marissa, Josey, Jenna Grace, Avery, Brayden, Langston, Mollie, and Chandler; six great grandchildren; a sister, Linda Flakes; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held 12:00pm Friday, November 18 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bruce Allen and Greg Coursey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Remembrances may be made to AFSP-American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or St. Jude.
