Rufus Julian Eskew, Jr. "Rusty", 55, passed away Monday September 13, 2021, at University Hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Burke County. Rusty enjoyed a long career in law enforcement and heavy equipment. He was always willing to help others and enjoyed serving the community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Herndon and Rufus Julian Eskew, Sr.

He is survived by two sons, Brandon Julian Eskew (Shelley) of Statesboro and Christopher Colby Eskew (Hannah) of Portal; four daughters, Adrianna Rain Eskew of Statesboro, Alexandria Jade Eskew of Waynesboro, Anastasia Paris Eskew of Augusta, and Alastoria July Eskew of Metter; four grandchildren; a sister, Lori Eskew Chance (Mike) of Waynesboro; and two nieces, Gabi Chance Spencer (Emmett) of Waynesboro and Angela Chance of Waynesboro.

Graveside services will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00am at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery on Joyner-Oglesby Road, Sardis.
