Mr. Rufus Julian Eskew, 80, entered into rest Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was a longtime resident of Burke County. He worked for 37 years at Blanchard Equipment and attended Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Eskew was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Herndon Eskew; brothers, Paul, Carlton, and Roy Eskew; and twin siblings, Vernon and Vera Eskew.

He is survived by a daughter, Lori Eskew Chance (Mike) of Waynesboro; a son, Rusty Eskew of Waynesboro; a sister, Dorothy Davis of Savannah; two brothers, Charles and Fred Eskew both of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Rain, Jade, Paris, and July Eskew, Angela and Gabi Chance; and a great grandchild, Scarlet Eskew.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, February 21 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be 2pm Thursday, February 22 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lori Chance, Rusty Eskew, Mike Chance, Brandon Eskew, Christopher Eskew, and Willie Anthony. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Farmers of Burke County.
