Blythe, GA- Rosa L. Alligood, 77, entered into rest Monday, September 16, 2013 at University Hospital. She was born in Blount County, Alabama on August 27, 1936 to the late Leonard Prestidge and Letha Farley Prestidge. Rosa was a member of Blythe Baptist Church since 1980. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Conn. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Herbert Alligood; 2 children, Gloria Watkins (Wayne) of Gainesville, FL and Mack Alligood (Louise) of Avera, GA; son in law, Scott Conn of Augusta; 5 grandchildren, Brian Hendrix (Jessica), Cassie Cooper, Jonathan Alligood, Jennifer Alligood, and Caitlyn Alligood; 3 sisters; 1 brother; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6-8pm Thursday, September 19 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 11am Friday, September 20 at Blythe Baptist Church. Dr. Richard Dendler will officiate. Committal services will be 4pm Friday, September 20 at Alligood Community Cemetery near Dublin, GA. Pallbearers will be Al Alligood, Jeff Alligood, Brian Hendrix, Jonathan Alligood, Scott Conn, and Wayne Watkins.
