Roger Spires

Roger Spires, 58, entered into rest Sunday, March 27, 2022, at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County. He was member of Bethel Baptist Church and attended East Burke Baptist Church. He was a former truck driver. Surviving are his parents, Jimmie and Esther Spires of Sardis; his son, Ryan Spires (Ivey) of Waynesboro; a grandson Wes Spires; his brothers, Vinson Spires (Marsha) of Waynesboro and Earl Spires (Grace) of Waynesboro; his sister, Christine Smith of Athens; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Matt Shryock officiating.
