Roger V. Hopper, Sr.

November 18, 1922 — March 23, 2017

Hephzibah, GA- Roger V. Hopper, Sr., 94, entered into rest Thursday, March 23, 2017. He was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County. He was a farmer and owned and operated RV Hopper County Store in Munnerlyn for many years. Roger was a member of Munnerlyn United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hulda N. Hopper; granddaughter, Allyson K. Williams; and sister, Martha H. Wren.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeannean H. Boyd (James) of Hephzibah; a son, Roger V. Hopper of Savannah; and a brother, Richard J. Hopper of Augusta.

Graveside Services will be 2:00pm Monday, March 27 at Burke Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Sirmons officiating.
