Roger Franklin Flakes, Sr.

Roger Franklin Flakes, Sr. “Fuzzy”, 74, entered into rest Tuesday, February 7, 2023. He was born in Augusta to the late Hazel and Roger Flakes. He drove a truck his whole life up until his retirement in 2014. He was of the Baptist faith and loved his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Flakes; a son, Freddie Flakes; and two brothers, Johnny Flakes and Larry Chavous.

He is survived by three children, Frank Flakes, Tim Flakes, and Teresa Johnson all of Savannah; two sisters, Sybil Brown (Wayne) of Dearing and Darlene Godwin (Mike) of Bismark, AR; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00pm Saturday, February 11 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Timmerman officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Remembrances may be made to the Dearing Baptist Church.
