Robert Wayne Crockett

Born September 24, 1946, to William Evans and Annie Laurie McNorrill Crockett, he is survived by his siblings, William Evans Crockett, Jr. and Grace Crockett Quick. Wayne will be remembered for his service to Burke County where he lived his 70 years, his dedication to the school he helped build and support, his fairness and his generosity.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm Friday, May 12 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, May 13 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Boggs and Bill Tinley officiating. Pallbearers will be Kenneth English, James Evans, Robert Gradous, Paul McKie, John Cleve Newton, and Carroll Price. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Bonnie Jenkins, Bill Lively, Grady Mobley, Melvin Mobley, Raleigh Daniel, and Franklin Dyck. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to honor Wayne can do so with a memorial to the EBA Endowment Fund, PO Box 787, Waynesboro, GA 30830 or their favorite local charity.
