Robert B. Thames

December 22, 1927 — November 17, 2016

Sardis, GA- Mr. Robert B. Thames, 88, of Sardis, entered into rest Thursday, November 17, 2016. He was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County and was a member of Corinth Christian Church. He was one of eight children born to the late Ben and Lizzie Thames. He was preceded in death by two children, Linda Thames and Randy Thames; five brothers, James, Emory, Carroll, W.B., and Albert Thames; two sisters, Bernice Frazier Dixon and Mary Lizzie Royal; and several nieces and nephews.

He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Graveside Services will be 1:00pm Saturday, November 19 at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Matt Higle and Rev. Ernest Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
