Hephzibah, GA- Robert J. "Bob" Peel, 77, entered into rest Saturday, October 12, 2019 at his residence. He was a native of Vidette and a resident of Hephzibah for the past 50 years. He was a member of Crossroads Fellowship Church and was retired from Gorham Bronze in Aiken. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Gilbert S. Peel, Sr.; and a sister, Sarah Elizabeth "Peggy" Peel.
He is survived by his wife, Judy C. Peel of Hephzibah; two sons, Robert Peel (Delia) of Vidette and Cal Peel of Hephzibah; two brothers, Gilbert S. Peel, Jr. of Vidette and Leslie B. Peel (Deb) of Vidette; five grandchildren, Bobby, Greer, Andy, Krissy, and Baylee; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11:30am Wednesday, October 16 at the Vidette United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Rose Dhu Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heartland Hospice for making it possible for Bob to be kept at home through this illness, to Bob's nurse Katheryn Belle and aide Arnetrice Jefferson and to Cora Brooks for being a God-send.
