Robert "Bob" James Slager

September 24, 1921 — April 4, 2015

Waynesboro, GA- Robert James Slager "Bob", 93, entered into rest Saturday, April 4, 2015 at his home. He was a veteran of the US Air Force during WWII. He retired as a Fire Marshal with the City of Delray Beach, FL. Bob later worked for the state of Florida as a State Fire Inspector. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucinda "Cindy" Huddleston; and a son, Jeffrey James Slager.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ruth Slager; a daughter, Andrea Kaye Slager of St. Marys, GA; a son in law, Earl Huddleston of Waynesboro; 3 grandsons, Eric Huddleston (Whitney) of Jefferson, GA, A.J. Huddleston (Amber) of Champaign, IL, and Ben Huddleston of Waynesboro; 3 great granddaughters, Haley, Lillian, and Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 in the chapel at First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro. Chaplain Susan Galasso and Reverend H. Craig Hutto will officiate.
