Robert "Bob" Bolton, 82, entered into rest on Saturday, January 9, 2021. He was born on September 23, 1938, to the late John Lee and Amanda Bolton. Bob retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years of service as a rural mail carrier. He also worked for the Corp of Engineers, GA Pacific, GA Forestry Commission, and The True Citizen. In his younger days, Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a former member of the Waynesboro Jaycees. Bob was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waynesboro, where he served on many church committees over the years, and he was a member of the Brinson Coleman Bible Class. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Jo Ann Bolton of Waynesboro; son, Bobby Bolton (Sheryl) of Columbia, SC; daughter, Mary Ann Bradley (Bob) of Conyers, GA; grandson, Mercer Bradley of Murfreesboro, TN; two granddaughters, Rebecca Deardorff (Josh) of Murfreesboro, TN, and Emily Bradley of Conyers, GA; great grandsons, Edison Deardorff and Truman Deardorff both of Murfreesboro, TN; two brothers, John Bolton (Virginia) of Sanford, NC and Bill Bolton (Cheri) of Dunwoody, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service honoring Bob's life will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Burke Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jimmy Cason and Reverend Isaac Salgado officiating.
Remembrances may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Waynesboro.
