Richard Melvin Rogers, 78, entered into rest Saturday, March 8, 2025. He was born in Commerce to the late Edna and Guy Melvin Rogers. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Vietnam War. He owned/operated several stores in South Carolina and other various places. Richard had a Bachelor’s degree and was musically inclined. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Rogers; and a niece, Chrystal Leigh Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Fah Lai Rogers; a step-son, Brian Liang of Waynesboro; three sisters, Jane Eiring of Augusta, Brenda Williams of Louisville, and Sally Reeves of Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, March 25 at Burke Memorial Gardens.
