Richard "Rick" H. Marsh

Richard “Rick” H. Marsh, 77, entered into rest Wednesday, November 15, 2023. He was born in Cincinnati, OH and has been a longtime resident of Burke County. He was a retired Sergeant of the US Army. He was a member and deacon of Hopeful Baptist Church. Rick was a member of the Waynesboro Exchange Club, the American Legion, the Waynesboro Shrine Club, and was a Mason. He served as the director of CSRA Kids for Christ for 30 years. He is survived by his wife Janelle Marsh; five children, Dustin Woods (Lauren) of Richmond Hill, GA, Lynn Clavijo of Suwanee, GA, Ann Lane (Steve) of Garfield, GA, Arnold McGahee (Dory) of Hephzibah, GA, and Tara Uzpurvis (Scott) of Evans, GA; a brother, Bob Marsh (Vicki) of Cincinnati, OH; a sister, Kathy Roach of KY; a niece, Katie Reese of Lynchburg, OH; and grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am Saturday, November 18 at Hopeful Baptist Church with funeral services following at 11:00am. Rev. Josh Caines will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shawn McManus, Brendan McManus, Lucas McManus, Drew Adams, Blake Browning, Jesse James, Matt Moore, and Zack Moore.
