Waynesboro-Mrs. Rebecca Odom Dixon 80, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Keysville Nursing Home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, owner and operator of the Lakeview Restaurant and later was a hostess for Mobley's Cafeteria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dixon, her son, Todd Eric Dixon and her brother, Linder Odom, Jr.
Surviving are, her sons, Mark Dixon and wife, Bonnie of Hephzibah and Charles "Chuck" Whitaker of Pensacola, FL.; her grandchildren, Kayla Dixon, Haylee Dixon, Chris Whitaker, Cali Whitaker, Miranda Whitaker and Jason Knight.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Deloach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in the Deloach-Mckerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Steve Sirmons officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Gardens.
