Randy Edward Wheeler

Randy Edward Wheeler, 67, entered into rest January 10, 2024. He was born in Louisville, GA on September 16, 1956 to the late Mary Elizabeth and George Bunny Chance and has been a longtime resident of Burke County. He was an auto mechanic and owned/operated Wheeler Automotive in Waynesboro. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, three sisters, Mary Helen Roland, Reba Murray, and Ann Farrer; and a brother, Lynt Amerson.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Connie G. Wheeler; two children, Amber Johnson (Kevin) of Sardis and Gary Wayne Murdock (Crystal) of Girard; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Donna Chance of Girard; and a brother, Robert Amerson of Hephzibah.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, January 12 at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, January 13 at Bethany Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ernest Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will be Dennis Britt, Joey Flake, Chad Flake, Ryan Lane, Josh Hammock, Ricky Varnadore, Chuck Barnes, and Grover Vickery, Jr.
