Randy Tapley

Randy Tapley, 60, entered into rest Wednesday, August 9, 2023. He was born in Sardis to the late Ellen and David Tapley. He was a member Bethel Baptist Church. He was a dedicated, hard working, simple man. Randy was a truck driver having drove for 38 years. He loved racing and the Georgia Bulldogs. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Melissa Tapley; a son, Eric Tapley (Amy) of Augusta; a daughter, Ashley Taylor (Trey) of Evans; two grandsons, Matthew Tapley and Jay Taylor; and several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am Saturday, August 12 at the Sardis Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 11:00am. Rev. Jimmy Napier will officiate. Burial will follow at Sardis Baptist Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Brian McClain, George Bradham, Mark McClain, Sr., Bill Chance, John Sylvester, and Kevin Booth.

Remembrances may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church Building Fund.
