Randy Lester

Randy Lester, 53, entered into rest Saturday, October 26, 2024. He was born in Augusta and has been a longtime resident of Burke County. He was a 1989 graduate of North Augusta High School and was a graduate of Augusta Technical College with a degree in mechanical design – drafting. Randy was currently working as Configuration Management, Engineering & Technical Support Specialist with SRS. He was a member of Waynesboro First Methodist Church and was a former Boy Scout leader with Troop 25 in Waynesboro. He enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle, and doing just about anything his wife wanted to do. He loved his family dearly.

Randy was dearly loved and respected by many. To his wife Amylia, he was the best partner and husband that only God could have placed them together. Their marriage had so much love. Randy was her protector, companion, and best friend. She will love him and cherish their memories forever.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Warren Lester, Sr; a brother, Jimmie Warren Lester, Jr.; and both his paternal and maternal grandparents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amylia; his son, Mason; his mother, Sally Bryson; four brothers, Ricky Lester (Georgia), Robby Lester (Gail), Eddie Lester (Cora), and Jamie Lester (Frances); his father and mother-in-law, Mack and Sallie Mobley; his sister and brother-in-law Lindsai and Jackson Gentry; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved fur babies, Tux and Leo.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, November 2 in the funeral home Chapel with Rev. Keith Cox and Rev. Sam Wilder officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
