Waynesboro, GA- Ralph Wood, 74, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Waynesboro has been his home since the early 1960s. He and his wife owned and operated Wood Jewelers in Downtown Waynesboro for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Simons Wood; a daughter, Elizabeth Goad (Brian) of Cleveland, GA; and 3 grandchildren, Max, Clay, and Olivia.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bonnie Jenkins and staff; Dr. Donald Townsend, Derek Lafont and The Oncology Department at University Hospital.

Ralph's family welcomes the opportunity to visit with friends and customers at a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, October 26 from 4-6pm at Wood Jewelers, 117 W 6th Street Downtown Waynesboro, GA.
