Paul Grady Mobley, Jr., 74, entered into rest Tuesday, April 12, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Burke County. He farmed for 47 years and was a successful businessman. He was a former Mayor and active member of the City Council of Girard.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ramona Chandler Mobley; a daughter, Monika Mobley of Waynesboro; three sons, Grady Brandon Mobley (Ashleigh) of Waynesboro, Ryan Paul Mobley (Bailey) of Girard, and Evan Daniel Mobley (Katie) of Girard; three grandchildren, Cole Parker Mobley, Marlee Lynn Mobley, and Ellee Grace Mobley; a brother, Thomas Mack Mobley of Girard; a sister, Sandra Mobley of Atlanta; and many other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, April 14 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Friday, April 15 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Leroy Lane and Rev. Steve Sirmons officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.
Active Pallbearers will be Michael O’Neal, Kyle Alexander, Ben Knight, Jerry Baker, Wendell Lynn, Clint Forehand, Leroy Lane, and Justin Chandler.
Honorary Pallbearers will be James Eastmead, Dr. Bonnie Jenkins, Melvin Mobley, Henry Glisson, William Cox, Eddie Grunewald, Bo John Mitchell, Alex Brigham, Roy Kirchner, Greg Kenrick, Daniel Cates, Brigham Sanders, Mike Chandler, Randy Chandler, LV Jenkins, Raymond Edenfield, Allen DeLaigle, Jimmy Findlay, and Shane Lamb.
Remembrances may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
