Waynesboro, GA- Olin "Bubba" McKinley Blackstone, Jr., 54, son of the late Olin McKinley Blackstone, Sr., and Myrtle Lee Herndon Blackstone, entered into rest on May 24, 2012, at his residence after a brief battle with cancer.
He was an automobile mechanic all of his life. He loved being outside and working on cars. He was a member of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Myrtle Blackstone; 4 siblings, Barbara (Dale Carter) Lariscy of Augusta, Cynthia Blackstone of Waynesboro, James (Carol) Blackstone of Hephzibah, and Jennifer (Dana) VanCise of Augusta; 2 nephews, Chris (Emily) Lariscy of Suwanee and Dalton Blackstone of Hephzibah; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Sunday, May 27 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 28 at 2pm at Rosemont Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Wes Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.
