Novine Hickman Hamilton

The native and lifelong resident of Burke County was a graduate from the Georgia Teacher's College in Statesboro, known now as Georgia Southern University. She was a retired school teacher from SGA and Cousins Elementary in Sardis and was the former pianist for the Sardis Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children, Lisa Tammaro and husband David of Waynesboro, John Hamilton and wife, Belinda of Sardis and Stephen Smith of Vidalia; her grandchildren, Brandon Hamilton, Robert Tammaro, Ryan Hamilton, Tamisha Smith, Travis Smith, Stephen Smith, Jr., Chris Harris, and several great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2015, in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Earl Saxon officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the Service.
