Waynesboro, GA-Myrtle Hurst Smith, 91, wife of the late James Bert Smith, entered into rest at Brentwood Rehabilitation Facility September 4, 2012 in Waynesboro, GA. She was born November 1, 1920 in Bulloch County GA.

She was preceded in death by her daughters Charlotte Smith and Valerie Gordon Trimmier. Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Barnes of Augusta; three grandchildren, John Boland (Diana) of Waynesboro, Rachel Pittman (Hunter) of Hephzibah, and Chris Nappier of Aiken. There are also seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 6 from 6-7pm at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be Friday, September 7 at 11 am at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Statesboro, Ga.
