Waynesboro, GA – Mrs. Myrtle Blackstone, 84, beloved mother, born February 8, 1936, to the late George Herndon and Katherine Herndon, entered into rest Wednesday, July 15 2020, at her residence. She was a homemaker and Sunday school teacher for many years. She was an active member of Rosemont Baptist Church. She is momma to a lot of people and she loves her Savior and showed Him daily.
She is survived by her four children, Barbara Lariscy of Augusta, GA, Cindy Blackstone of Waynesboro, GA, James (Carol) Blackstone of Hephzibah, GA, and Jennifer (Dana) VanCise of Augusta; two grandsons and daughter-in-law, Christopher (Emily) Lariscy of Suwanee, GA, and Dalton Blackstone of CA; 2 great grandchildren, Thomas and Caroline Lariscy; four brothers, Richard (Virginia) Herndon of Twin City, GA, Tommy Herndon of Stapleton, GA, Robert (Arlene) Herndon of Rincon, GA, and Arlon (Connie) Herndon of Augusta, GA; three sisters, Emily Goninan of Evans, GA, Clara Dukes of Augusta, GA, and Georgianne Phillips of Statesboro, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
Graveside services will be 2:00pm Friday, July 17 at Burke Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wes Lawson will be officiating.
