Mrs. Patricia Woods Hendrix

Mrs. Patricia Woods Hendrix, 74, beloved wife of Floyd Hendrix, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, January 13, 2023, with her family at her side.

She was born on October 25, 1948, in Savannah to the late James and Addie Irene Woods. She married Floyd Emerson Hendrix on December 10, 1966, and they established a home in Waynesboro (McBean), where they raised three daughters. Pat worked at Plant Vogtle during construction and transitioned to the Georgia Power (Southern Company) North Leg office in Augusta, where she retired in 2014 with 36 years of service. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, where she served over the years in many capacities, including singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Woods Hendrix; and her brother, James H. Woods.

In addition to her husband, Floyd, of 56 years, she is survived by three daughters, Shelley H. Mallard (Bob), Denise H. Parrish (Robert III) both of Waynesboro, and Angela H. Adams (John) of Columbus; six grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Mallard, Sarah Ann Mallard, Robert Hunter Parrish IV, Samuel Emerson Parrish, Allison Claire Adams, and Lauren Elizabeth Adams; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00pm Monday, January 16 at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Joyner and Rev. Mike Dann officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until service time.

Pallbearers will be David Hendrix, Jeff Davis, Ben Ellison, Drew McCary, Ryan Nutter, and Russell Nutter.
