Michael Lakatos, 89, entered into rest Wednesday, October 16, 2019. He was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Domakos and Roza Lakatos and resided in Cleveland for 65 years where he was a building contractor specializing in finish carpentry.
He moved to Burke County in 2012 from Port St. Lucie, FL. He enjoyed helping others, loved cars, and enjoyed bowling. He was a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Ruth Ann Lakatos.

He is survived by his daughter, Gail Rolland (Russell) of Waynesboro; a granddaughter, Joanna Rolland of Lincolnton; two great grandsons; Michael Rolland and Murray Lieb, Jr. both of Waynesboro; a stepdaughter, Cathy Jarvis (Jeff) of FL; a step-granddaughter, Marie Jarvis of FL; and two step-grandsons, Nick Jarvis of OH and Brooks Jarvis of FL.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00am October 26 at the First United Methodist Church.

Remembrances may be made to the Memorial Fund at First United Methodist Church, Waynesboro.
