Alexander, Ga.- Mr. Max Esteband Anglin, 86, entered into rest Saturday, August 16, 2008 at his sisters home in Comer, Ga. He was born April 8, 1922 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Dock and Mayme Vickers Anglin. He had lived in Alexander for over 30 years and retired from Norfolk Southern after many years of service. Mr. Anglin was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. He was an avid fisherman and loved his grandchildren dearly. Mr. Anglin was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Irene Anglin, sister, Alatia Pettigrew, and brother, Kenneth Anglin.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Worman, of Surrency, Ga.; son-in-law, Dennis Worman, Sr., of Sardis; grandchildren, Brittney Worman, Dennis "Scooter" Worman, Jr., and Kirsten Helen Hunter; three sisters, Beverly Rhoden, of Comer, Ga.; Loucretia Vanzant, of Albany, Ga.; and Martha A. Smith, of Andersonville, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Royal of Sardis, GA and Ida Anglin, of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 18th, from 6-8pm at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Friends may call at the home of Kelly Barton, 768 Gordon Rd. Sardis, Ga.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 19th, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of DeLoach Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Dixon will be officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens with military honors. Pallbearers will be Jody Barton, Brian McClain, Joseph Thames, Eddie Williams, Nicky DeLaigle, and Cleve Royal.
