Mary Sybil Holland

August 17, 1933 — January 17, 2012

Mary Sybil Holland, 78, of Sardis, GA., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 at Georgia Health Sciences University in Augusta, GA. She was born in Girard, GA., on Aug. 17, 1933. She was a member of East Burke Baptist Church & Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband Morgan Holland. She is survived by a son, Alexander Holland; grandchildren, Morgan Holland, Megan Holland, Davvy Overstreet and Charlie Quattlebaum. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at East Burke Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest L. Johnson Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Morgan Overstreet, Charles Hall, Joey Moss, Waldo Hammock, Timmy Jackson and Billy Quattlebaum. The family has asked that if so desired, memorials be made to East Burke Baptist Church, 6564 Hwy 24 South Sardis, GA 30456.
