Augusta, GA- Mary Merchant, 53, entered into rest Saturday, March 17, 2018. She was born in Wauchula, FL and lived in Bickmore, WV until moving to Augusta in1988.She worked for McMurray Dairy.Mary was a good samaritan, who loved and helped anyone who needed it. She loved her grandchildren and was the root of her family and held them all together. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Shirley Merchant; a brother, Julis Merchant; and a sister, Ruby Napier.

She is survived by three children, Clark Stewart, Rex Stewart, Jr., and Melissa Funderburg all of Augusta; three sisters, Shelia Camanini (Bob) of Augusta, Darlene Johnson (Jeremy) of Augusta, and Maybelle Kline of Wauchula, FL; two brothers, Elwood Merchant (Pam) of Wauchula, FL and Nathan Edwards of Forrest City, AR; 17 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be 2pm Thursday, March 22 in the DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Sirmons officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
