EVANS, GA - Mary Maxwell Miller Mundy died on March 29, 2012 at her home at Brandon Wilde. She had lived in Waynesboro, GA with her husband of 50 years, John Ernest Mundy, Jr., until his death and her move to Brandon Wilde in 1990.
Mrs. Mundy is survived by sons, John Ernest Mundy III and wife Debra Crow Mundy of Augusta and Dr. Thomas Maxwell Mundy of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren, Mary Maxwell Mundy Miller and husband John William Miller II of Atlanta and John Ernest Mundy IV and wife Anna Dorman Mundy of Augusta; and great grandchildren, John William Miller III, Price Balford Miller and Mary Hilton Miller of Atlanta.
Mrs. Mundy was born to Helen Hilton and Thomas Maxwell Miller in Greenwood, SC on July 8, 1917 and attended Lander College there; she was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Hilton Miller Paul (Mrs. Caleb Huiet) of Charleston, SC and Ann Adams Miller Keisler (Mrs. David Simpson) of Greenwood, and half-brother, William Yeldell Miller of Greenwood.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Magnolia Cemetery, West Sixth Street, in Waynesboro with the Rev. Dr. Leslie Holmes officiating. The family and friends will gather in the Sunroom at Brandon Wilde, 4275 Owens Road in Evans, on Friday, March 30th from 5 until 7 pm.
