Waynesboro, GA - Mary Lou Deem, 63, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011.She was born in Gibson City, IL on June 17, 1948 and made Burke County her home in 1979.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Suttles.

She is survived by two children, Carrie Beth Sylvester Lopez-Ruiz and Larry E. Sylvester; three grandchildren, Jason, Joyice, and Darrick Sylvester; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Kapri Hammock, all of Waynesboro.Also surviving are four sisters and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2011, at DeLoach-McKerley Funeral Home.
