Mary Eskew Glass
September 11, 1953 — June 4, 2018
She was a native of Burke County and has lived there most of her life. She retired from the Retirement Inn in Swainsboro. She regularly attended Midville First Baptist Church. Mary loved the outdoors and her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Eskew; her mother, Marie Eskew; and her husband, James Glass.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Richards (Geoffrey) of Augusta; a granddaughter, Abigail Fortner; and several other family members.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday, June 6 at the funeral home.
The funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, June 7 at Midville First Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Quick and Rev. Robert Daughtry officiating. Burial will follow at Parkers United Methodist Church Cemetery near Bartow. Pallbearers will be Mike Richards, David McGee, Edward Neidlinger, Ralph Sandeford, Jody Wilson, and Peyton Sapp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Norma and Bill Thorne, Grace Burch, members of her Sunday School class and Bible Study group, members of the WOW group at Midville UMC, and staff of the Retirement Inn.
