Gough, GA - Malcolm James Mobley, Jr., 67, entered into rest Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Trinity Hospital.He was born on March 30, 1943 in Augusta, GA to the late Malcolm James Mobley, Sr. and Alice Banks Mobley.He retired from the Washington County Farm Service Agency and was a past president of the Burke County Farm Bureau.He served on the Board of Tax Assessors and was a member of Gough Baptist Church where he served as deacon.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gayle Butler Mobley; daughter, Sandra Mobley Quick (Mark) and their children, Ty, Aubrey, and Cody Quick of Waynesboro; son, Christopher Malcolm Mobley (Terri) and their son, Gabriel Mobley of Gough; two brothers, Joe Mobley (Tondra) of Milledgeville, GA and Phil Mobley (Sharon) of Canyon Country, CA; aunt, Ann Banks Douglas of Augusta; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 18, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Pastor F. L. Holloway and Don Quick will officiate.Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the home following the interment service.Honorary pallbearers will be Don Quick, Neil Quick, Troy Quick, Patrick Quick, William E. Bessent II "Brother", Brian Nunnally, and Lucious Abrams.
